Recent ComScore data for the month of September was released that details how much market share each major search engine has. The drawback that Bing may face with this new program is that anyone who uses the service must sign up using a Windows email or Facebook. With so many mail services now available and Windows Live being the old norm, people will be required to sign up for the service through their personal Facebook account. It is unknown at this point whether deals and products people purchase will be exposed through Facebook’s news feed. This has caused some concern among consumers, but no data has been provided yet.
Similar to many daily deals services, Bing Deals will offer 50%-90% off for local business services. Local businesses have began using deal services to attract new customers and to retain existing customers.
