O'Meara Ford Blasted by Denver SEO Company
As a Search Engine Marketer there is no-one bigger, there is no-one better and there is no-one smarter than us. If we get beat at our own game we pout and make excuses for our failures – this is very common among search engine marketers around the World.
O’Meara Ford in Northglenn, CO gets a blast from a Denver SEO
Earlier today I received a news tip about ‘Search Engine Optimizer’ (I use that term very lightly) who called out O’Meara Ford claiming they were participating in some kind of fake reviews and/or paid reviews within Google Places. Instead of posting a relavent blog that talks about how companies are forging their reviews with paid reviews this particular ‘blogger’ went below the belt and directly called them out in hopes their blog would get picked up by Google for “O’Meara Ford Denver” and perhaps land on the radar of the O’Meara Ford management team in hopes of picking up a gig with them.
There are a lot of shady tactics that SEOs use and there in return a lot of fantastic and ethical ones as well. If you hear about a company threatening to sue over something that makes no sense and/or has no backing or in like my second scenario blasting companies on their blogs for no apparent reason then those same people can and will do the same thing to you – period.

I talk to roughly 10 business owners per-week who have been disgusted by some previous SEO Company. When I asked what their hiring criteria they almost all said that the guy or gal seemed nice and trustworthy – this is a very common theme.
In my book in order to be a true search engine optimization expert you need to have technical developmental understanding of how the web works. Too many search marketers think that knowing how to install a basic WordPress theme, activate permalinks and blast a few back-links automatically qualifies them as a SEO. What if your company has a technically advanced plastform that requires custom mod_rewrite’s to be used, hand written redirects and strategy that doesn’t come packaged in a Box like WordPress, Joomla or Drupal?
If you’re a small business owner who already has a web developer – get them involved. The SEO should have the same amount of knowledge if not more than your web developer when it comes to technical expertise and if they don’t – they are not a true SEO and you’ll know to move on.
